To better serve our customers, our REFINING CHARGES have changed and our SERVICES have changed or expanded as of June 17, 2009. Hoover and Strong is an environmentally-friendly refiner and manufacturer of precious metals. We refine gold, silver, platinum and palladium. The term refining, as used in this business, refers to the process we use to free metal from impurities or unwanted material. Many types of companies including jewelry manufacturers and jewelry stores use our refining services. By sending us their scrap metal, they are able to save money and make money, which in turn increases their profits.
SPECIAL NOTICE to Virginia residents: Hoover & Strong DOES NOT BUY scrap metal from the general public. A copy of your Virginia State Business License and/or Tax Exempt Certificate stating that your are in the jewelry business must be supplied upon arrival of your scrap shipment for refining. Otherwise, we will not process your scrap.
Refining Schedule: As mentioned in the "Preparing Your Shipment" section, SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE, BASED ON MARKET CONDITIONS AND SEASONAL BUSINESS. CURRENTLY, processing time is running between 7 and 10 business days for clean material only. Rush refining service is NOW AVAILABLE.
