Payment & Shipping Information
METHOD OF PAYMENT
First Time Orders
Until you have established credit with us, first time orders must be paid for with a verified credit card, cashiers check or COD. If you have a top rating with The Jewelers Board of Trade or Dun and Bradstreet, an account may be set up immediately for convenient ordering. All orders for 24K must be paid by wire transfer only.
Credit Cards
You may pay with your personal or business VISA®, MasterCard®, American Express®, or Discover® Card. For your protection, we will verify your mailing address as listed for your credit card before shipping the order. We will not drop ship new customers orders or accept address changes over the telephone.
Checks, Money Orders and Wire Transfers
We will accept personal or business checks, cashiers checks, money orders or wire transfers. You may call our Account Representatives for the cost of an order, or use our catalog with the estimated weights of the products to calculate the price of the material (don't forget postage).
Cash Discounts
We offer a 1 1/2% discount for mill products and findings when the invoice is prepaid or when ordering against a refining credit. Call in your order, we will give you the dollar amount to send and process your order as soon as the payment arrives. We will hold prices for three working days, unless market fluctuations make price holds unfavorable for Hoover & Strong. Pool accounts are available for volume mill and findings customers only. There is a 100 dwt (5 oz) minimum for these transactions except refining deposits. Call for details.
C.O.D.
You may pay by COD if listed but not rated by JBT. The post office limits CODs to $1,000 per package. If the COD exceeds $1,000, we must package it into more than one box or use Federal Express COD. See Shipping Information below for COD charges.
New Accounts
Net 30 day terms are available to accounts with top ratings with The Jewelers Board of Trade or Dun and Bradstreet. Customers who are not rated but have substantial credit information and trade references will be considered for credit. Request a credit application, and we will try to make your credit approval as painless as possible. Because of the high cost of carrying accounts, credit will be established only for those customers whose orders average over $200. Prices shown in the catalog reflect a 1% discount given to 30 day accounts and COD customers. A finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% A.P.R.) will be applied to account balances over 30 days old. All packages will have the invoice enclosed.
International Orders
We welcome business from around the world, and will do everything possible to provide you with prompt service and the best method of shipment. Wire transfers of funds are available but require a $25 fee to process. Freight charges for international shipments are dependent upon the weight of the package(s). There is a limit of $25,000 per day per customer. All expenses will be listed on the invoice enclosed with the order and any overpayment will be refunded. Please contact us for special assistance.
